raspberry chocolate smoothie bowlSmoothie bowls are one of our favourite healthy breakfasts, they’re a great way to spruce up your regular smoothie and make it a little more hearty. This chocolate raspberry smoothie bowl also makes a great healthy ice cream substitute for that after dinner sweet tooth!

The toppings listed below are the ones we like but you can really add anything on top; oats, cereal, sliced fruit and nuts all work well!raspberry choc smoothie bowl

Ingredients
For the smoothie
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 - 1 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 1-3 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 2-3 pitted dates
  • 1/3 cup non-dairy milk
The toppings (optional)
  • 2 tsp goji berries
  • 1 tsp shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp raw cacao nibs
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp buckwheat groats
Servings: smoothie bowl
Instructions
  1. Add the milk and dates to a food processor or high powered blender and blend together. Add the remaining smoothie ingredients and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the smoothie out into a bowl and add whatever toppings you like. Serve immediately.
